sally + paul

Sal and Paul’s love story is as unique as their wedding day—full of spontaneity, colour, and a little bit of unexpected magic. They chose to elope at the effortlessly cool Sun Ranch in Cooper’s shoot, tucked away in the Byron Bay hinterland. With rolling hills as their backdrop and a quiet kind of intimacy in the air, their day began with slow, intentional moments and big heart energy. From there, we made our way to St Kevin’s Church in Bangalow for the ceremony, then it was back to the ranch for golden hour portraits, just as the sun began to dip behind the hills. Although the venue wasn’t yet council-approved for weddings, which meant we were limited in where we could shoot, we fully embraced the space we had. We leaned into the textures, the light, the energy of the room—and I honestly think we captured something really special.

Fun fact: these two first met during an Ayahuasca ceremony (yes, really), so I knew right away this was going to be a fun and funky day. And it absolutely was. We wrapped up with margaritas at You Beauty Pub in Bangalow—because if there’s one thing the Irish know how to do, it’s how to party.
